A viral claim suggests that Uber charges higher fares when the phone battery is low. However, the DFRAC team discovered a tweet from Uber debunking these allegations and clarifying the issue. Uber had addressed similar claims earlier in 2022 as well. We also conducted practical tests and found no evidence supporting the alleged difference in fare.
